Cord Necklaces Are In for Fall 2026

Have you noticed cord necklaces popping up again?

They’re one of the jewelry trends carrying right into Fall 2026—and I can see why. After several seasons of very delicate necklaces, fashion is making room for jewelry with a little more personality.

The updated cord necklace isn’t exactly the one we wore in the ’90s. Today’s version combines interesting texture with larger, sculptural pendants. It feels relaxed, modern, and just different enough to freshen up an outfit.

That brings me to Louisa.

Why Louisa Feels So Current

Louisa combines a twisted cream cord with a bold open pendant in your choice of gold or silver stainless steel.

She fits right in with three things we’re seeing for fall: cord necklaces, larger pendants, and sculptural metal. But she doesn’t feel so trendy that you’ll wonder what to do with her next year.

The cream cord adds texture without giving you another color to match, and the pendant gives your outfit a clear focal point.

In other words, Louisa makes a simple outfit look intentional.

The Easy Way to Wear Her

Start with a solid top and let Louisa do the work. She looks especially good with a crewneck, scoop neck, V-neck, sweater, or simple dress.

You don’t need a special outfit. Try her with a white shirt, a navy top, your favorite fall sweater, or even a T-shirt and jeans.

That’s what I like about this trend: it’s noticeable, but it’s still very wearable.

Can You Layer Louisa?

Absolutely.

For the simplest layered look, add one delicate chain or a small meaningful necklace above her. Louisa adjusts from 17″ to 20″, so you can leave enough space between the two necklaces.

If you enjoy something bolder, add a shorter bead necklace. The mix of shiny beads, soft cord, and polished metal gives your outfit more texture and personality.

Of course, layering is optional. Louisa has enough presence to look finished all by herself.

What About Earrings?

Simple hoops or studs are an easy match, but you can wear a larger earring if that feels more like you.

Just let Louisa be the main attraction and keep the rest of your jewelry from competing too much.

Gold or Silver?

The gold Louisa feels warm and rich with cream, camel, olive, rust, brown, and navy. The silver version looks fresh with blue, gray, black, white, lavender, and jewel tones.

But please don’t turn this into another complicated style rule. Choose the one that works with the jewelry you already enjoy wearing—or simply choose the one you like best.

Meet Louisa

The Louisa Necklace is $38 and is available in Stainless or Gold Stainless. She has a lobster clasp and adjusts from 17″ to 20″.

Wear her alone, add a delicate chain, or mix her with beads. She’s an easy way to try one of fall’s biggest jewelry trends without making your style feel complicated.

Which would you choose—gold or silver?

Life is complicated enough—your jewelry doesn’t have to be.
